How to care for your permanent eyeliner

If you have just had eye micropigmentation or permanent eyeliner done, you are at the most important moment of the process: the healing.
Following the right care routine not only protects your skin… it also determines how beautiful, even, and long-lasting your results will be. ✨
How does eye micropigmentation heal?
After the procedure, it is normal to experience:
Slight swelling in the eyelids
More intense color than expected
Feeling of dryness
Minor flaking
Eyeliner micropigmentation heals in 5 to 10 days , although the final result can be fully appreciated in a few weeks. The color will fade, leaving a more natural and soft finish. 💫
Care after eye micropigmentation
These steps are key for proper healing and maintaining even pigmentation:
Keep the area clean
Gently cleanse the area if necessary, without rubbing. Avoid harsh makeup removers or products in the eyes.
Avoid getting the area directly wet.
During the first few days, avoid getting water directly in your eyes and also avoid:
Steam
Very hot showers
Sauna or pool
Don't wear eye makeup
Avoid mascara, eyeliner, or eyeshadow for at least 7 days. This prevents infection and ensures proper pigment adhesion.
Do not scratch or pick at scabs
Peeling is part of the process. Removing scabs can cause pigment loss or uneven results.
Apply the recommended ointment
Use only the product indicated by your specialist, applying it with a clean cotton swab.
What not to do after eye micropigmentation
To ensure a good result, avoid:
Intense exercise (excessive sweating)
Direct exposure to sunlight
Use of contact lenses
Eyelash growth products
During the first 10 to 15 days, also avoid:
Swimming pools
Sea
Saunas or steam rooms
Recommendations for improving the result
Avoid sleeping with pressure on your eyes.
Wash your face carefully
Keep the area moisturized as directed.
These small habits help your eyeliner heal evenly and for a long time ✨
How long does eye micropigmentation last?
The duration of permanent makeup can vary, but it generally lasts between 1 and 3 years , depending on:
Skin type
Aftercare
Sun exposure
Skincare routine
Importance of retouching
After your first session, it's normal to need a touch-up to perfect the result. This step ensures intensity, symmetry, and longevity 💕
